1. Business Information & Contact Details

This website is operated independently by Small Scale Models ("we", "us", "our").

2. Product Descriptions, Condition & Authenticity

2.1. New & Vintage Items: We sell a mix of brand-new carded/boxed diecast models alongside vintage, obsolete, and pre-owned collectibles. The condition of each item (including card backing, packaging, or vintage paintwork) is described honestly and accompanied by clear listing photographs.

2.2. Collector Items: Due to the nature of collectible items (such as carded Hot Wheels, Matchbox, or vintage Corgi/EFSI models), minor manufacturing variations, card curvature, or factory blister anomalies may exist. These will be highlighted in product listings where notable.

2.3. Scale Proportions: All scales stated (e.g., 1:64, 1:76 / OO gauge, 1:43, 1:18) are provided according to the manufacturer’s specifications.

2.4. Colors & Images: While we make every effort to display product colors accurately, actual colors may vary slightly depending on your device’s display settings.

3. Pricing & Payment

3.1. Pricing: All prices on smallscalemodels.co.uk are listed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP, £). We reserve the right to amend prices at any time prior to contract formation.

3.2. Payment Methods: We accept major credit/debit cards and supported digital payment options via our secure Wix Payments checkout gateway. Payment must be cleared in full before any order is dispatched.

3.3. Pricing Errors: In the unlikely event that an item is listed with an incorrect price due to a typographical error, we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund your payment in full.

4. Orders & Contract Formation

4.1. Order Acceptance: Your order represents an offer to purchase a product. A binding contract between us is formed only when you receive an Order Confirmation / Dispatch Email confirming that your item has been packed and sent.

4.2. Stock Availability: All items listed on the website are held in stock in the UK. However, if an item becomes unavailable due to an unexpected inventory error, we will notify you promptly and issue a full refund.

4.3. Order Cancellations: If you wish to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, please contact us immediately at andy.ward@smallscalemodels.co.uk. If the order has already been processed by our warehouse, you may return the item upon arrival in accordance with Section 6.

5. Delivery & Safe Collector Packaging

5.1. Dispatch: Orders cleared Monday to Friday are typically processed and dispatched within 24 hours from our UK warehouse.

5.2. Collector Packaging Guarantee: We understand the importance of box and card condition. All items are shipped in rigid cardboard outer boxes with protective air buffering or bubble wrap. We never ship carded or boxed collectibles in soft mailers or padded envelopes.

5.3. Delivery Charges: UK delivery fees and free delivery qualification thresholds (e.g., free UK standard shipping on qualifying spend) are clearly displayed at checkout and detailed on our Shipping Page.

5.4. International Shipping: International buyers are responsible for any local customs duties, import taxes, or clearance fees levied by their destination country.

6. Returns, Cancellations & Refunds

In accordance with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel and return your purchase.

6.1. Return Window: You must notify us of your intention to return an item within 14 days of receiving your delivery.

6.2. Condition of Returned Items: Returned items must be sent back in their original, unopened, and resalable condition with all original packaging, seals, and accessories intact.

6.3. Return Postage Costs:

  • Change of Mind: The buyer is responsible for return postage costs. We recommend using a tracked postal service as we cannot issue refunds for items lost in transit.

  • Damaged or Incorrect Items: If an item arrives damaged or differs significantly from the listing description, please contact us within 48 hours with photos. We will provide a pre-paid return label or replacement/full refund.

6.4. Refund Processing: Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 3–5 business days of us receiving and inspecting the returned item.

7. Intellectual Property

All content published on smallscalemodels.co.uk—including text, graphics, logos, product descriptions, photography, and site layout—is the property of Small Scale Models or its content suppliers and is protected by UK and international copyright laws. Unauthorised copying or redistribution is strictly prohibited.

All third-party brand names, logos, and trademarks (e.g., Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Corgi, Ford, Tesla, Eddie Stobart) belong to their respective trademark owners and are used strictly for identification and descriptive sales purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Small Scale Models shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising out of your use of our website or purchased products.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions and any contracts formed under them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. The revised version will be effective immediately upon publication on this page.
